really moving! I loved the pace and storytelling and was so captivated by ro’s community. I also love all the Boston geography :) this book has left me thinking about how fortunate I am to have come into my queerness when hiv no longer means a death sentence. such a potent work of historical fiction that I’m grateful to have found

What a rollercoaster of emotions. It was slow to start but once it did it was beautiful. What didn’t this cover, the Irish immigrant experience, unrequited love, unhappiness, friedship, the AIDS crisis, the Irish marriage equality referendum. This has something for everyone. It was different for me to read an LGBTQ+ novel from the L POV. There was great character progression and even made sense for the unlikeable characters (I’m looking at you Terri)a I would die for John and Clara, and in a way Ro. There was no plot point i discussed. Everything got its own ending. I was heartbroken by this read. Lived for, and Loved.
