This book disappointed me. I really wanted to like it as much as the others but no way. The disrespect that David showed Evelyn after having a baby and how she just rolled over and took it.

Evelyn and David Ferris are celebrating 7 years of marriage with close family friends and the band teammates and their families in Paris. On tour, they have another 10 months before they get to go home and enjoy their simple life.
SpoilerFast forward 9 months, Mal finds Evelyn on the bathroom floor crying and in pain, thinking it's kidney stones, he calls for an ambulance. The pain continues and Mal takes it upon himself to check Evelyn, turns out she is giving birth. she didn't know she was pregnant and gave birth to a baby boy while David was away touring.

The shock of having an unplanned child turns everything inside out. Including David, who all of the sudden decides to turn into Jimmy (pre-Lena) and start drinking and hurting the people that love him. What the actually eff. David was the responsible, calm, level-headed brother. Shit hits the brick and Evelyn decides to turn into a rug and get stomp all over. I mean, they name their child at the end of the book cause they were not sure of what to call him.

The only cool thing about the story is that we get to see the band and their families. Jimmy, Lena, and their twins are doing well. Mal and Anne and their baby boy too. And finally Ben and Lizzy and their kid. It looks like there will be another story with Jude, who is David and Evelyn's nanny.

David and Ev had an interesting start to their marriage, seeing how they drunkenly wed as strangers the night of Ev's twenty-first birthday. The Rhythm Method begins seven years later at their wedding anniversary.
There's a lot I want to say, but don't want to give out spoilers. Mal was great in this, very much what you expect from him, but less manic than in other books. David surprised me with how he acted. I did not see it coming at all.
This felt a little rushed. There was a lot going on in a short timeframe and I feel it could have been drawn out a little more.
It's always great to catch up with the Stage Dive group, and this is an entertaining addition to the series. I can't wait to see what comes next.

Ok unpopular opinion David Ferris was never a favourite of mine; did I enjoy his book yes did I low key listen to all the others many times over and never his again YES.

But this book was a nice bonus. Honestly, I went in blind, and I am glad I did, or I probably wouldn’t have listened.

Ev does not throw any punches in this one, they go through a big shock, and she has to do what is best for her. I love that this book has so much, yet it's not dragged out.

100% was a champion for Jimmy in this one for what he does with Dave oh it was perfect like get your act together man.

Again, what you would expect from Andi.

I’m always up for any story in the Stage Dive world of one of my favorite authors, Kylie Scott. And going back to the beginning in a way, by meeting up with our first couple from the series was wonderful! Well wonderful in a very emotionally stressful way. Because how Dave and Ev’s unplanned pregnancy actually unfolds is a crazy roller coaster ride. And so unexpected! But what is nice is having all their friends and family around to help them through this emotional time. Through the other books I kind of forgot a little about how intense David could be, but that was really brought back in how he handled their unexpected family crisis.

And of course, my very favorite part of any book in the Stage Dive series is any little time spent with my all time favorite book boyfriend, Mal Ericson. He can make anyone laugh through any kind of incident or crisis, or even in good times. I love how perfectly Kylie Scott writes him. So unique and perfect every time.

Yet another perfect novella/addition to this series!

I love everything Kylie Scott and this book was like the cherry on top of a really great cake or better said of a wedding cake because the couple is already married. The author’s most loved series and couple is back in this novella and it was like going home after a very long time. So many memories and secondary characters, a few unexpected twists and lots of love.
I loved it and I would always recommend her books to anyone.

Worst Story Ever. There is no other words for this story. This book ruined the image of Ev and David's relationship.

I was thrilled to have more of the Stage Dive crew, but I wanted more. The book was good and fun read.
