I started this book, and really struggled to get into it. Somewhere around chapter 3 I got bored and actually put it down and read another book. I picked this one back up, and in the middle of chapter 4, I still couldn't get into it. I was going to skim it, but then I just jumped to the last 2 chapters. It was definitely better in those 2 chapters, enough that it made me go back to read more. Then at about the halfway mark, I stopped, read another book, then came back. I normally don't feel so compelled to put this much effort into finishing a book, but for whatever reason I did. The first sex scene was pretty impressive. Not overly graphic, but more poignant, more meaningful to them as a couple then just writing about the act. I did find it interesting that I don't recall any swearing, yet there was plenty of sex, so you can't classify it as clean. I ended up enjoying it more than I expected, the ending was really sweet. It was worth powering through

Crews’ narrative flow is different than I’m used to, perhaps affected by the character’s quirky personalities. She deftly develops her story and characters with vibrant description that brings the novel to life. The eccentricities of the hero Jensen and heroine Harriet make their banter and interactions, which are sweet, sexy, funny, and emotional, delightful, and entertaining.

Jensen Kitteridge is Cold River’s notorious playboy cowboy. When he is confronted in the town’s seedy bar by the high school’s strait-laced librarian telling him he’s been assigned to help her with a school project, he is most definitely not interested in getting involved. At least, not in her school project. Obviously, the last place Harriet Barnett wants to be is in a sleazy bar talking to a surly cowboy with Jensen’s reputation, but one of her students needs her help. She is surprised, however, to find herself attracted to him. After all, Harriet likes her life tidy and controlled. Neither of which is compatible with Jensen she soon discovers. Jensen lives down to the town's bad expectations, hiding behind his playboy cowboy facade. They both discover there is more to the other than expected.

The interactions and relationships between characters are pivotal in their development – between Harriet and Jensen in particular – and their relationships with secondary characters as well. Talk about opposites attracting. These two couldn’t be any more different. But somehow, they balance each other out and end up being perfect for each other. He likes and accepts her just as she is, bringing her out of her shell and opening her world to passion, love, and self-discovery. She throws him off his game, challenging him, but can she break through the wall he has built between himself and the world and give him a reason to deal with the past, put it behind him, and fully live again?

A sweet, emotional, steamy, and charming romance with quirky, relatable characters and sexy banter, [b:All Night Long with a Cowboy|56269080|All Night Long with a Cowboy (Kittredge Ranch, #2)|Caitlin Crews|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1612462498l/56269080._SY75_.jpg|87659638] explores how being comfortable in your skin and with who you are and opening yourself up to love changes your view of the world and yourself and helps you make peace with the past.

This book had a surprisingly deep and unique story! I loved the neurodivergent, no-nonsense FMC and the tortured hero who’s disguised as a himbo.

The slow burn was delicious, and the emotional and personal development was both believable and thorough. The first sex scene and the FMC’s matter-of-fact declaration of love were both hot and endearing. The way she casually takes a shower and hums after confessing her love, while the MMC is left dumbfounded, perfectly captured her character. And when he couldn’t walk away, despite the warning signs, and immediately followed her, it was just… perfect!

There were some cheesy lines toward the end that made me cringe, but overall, it was so, so good. I’d love to re-read it at some point as I wasn’t a huge fan of the narrator.

All Night Long with a Cowboy follows the story of Harriett and Jensen. Harriett is your stereotypical schoolmarm librarian. The complete and total opposite of Jensen. Jensen is the kind of guy that should send Harriett running for the hills. He is a notorious playboy, who could have any woman at the drop of a hat. These two shouldn’t even be on each other’s radar’s. But, fate has other plans. When a troubled student challenges Harriett, she has no choice but to try and reach them and bring in the one person she thinks can help. But, when it comes to Jensen, he is a lot more than what Harriett bargained for…

I thought this book was an ok read. I could tell right away that Harriett was going to have her hands full with a guy like Jensen. These two couldn’t be more opposite if they tried, but somehow found themselves drawn to one another. I do think their story had a bit of a slow start, but I was intrigued enough to see where their story would go.

The road to happily ever after for Harriett and Jensen wasn’t without some bumps along the way. Both of them had pasts that they felt defined them and needed to overcome the hurdles of their past. There was definitely more to these characters than meets the eye and I enjoyed getting to know the two of them.

Harriett Barnett- what can I say I knew I would like her when she walked into the bar in a cardigan and held her own. Jensen Kittredge well he is the wild sexy local cowboy plus wildlife firefighter and add in some smoke jumping and yeah... opposites attract hard core.

But we learn Jensen is not so wild as he helps one of Harriett's students with a talk to her class and then time with his horses. Harriett learns to get a bit out of her shell in someways but I just lover her so much with her knitting, reading, and cats. She loves skirts with pockets so she is a lady after my own heart! I enjoyed this slow burn that then turned into flames.

I'm so excited to see the rest of this series in Cold River, CO! So many people I want that HEA!
