Loved everything about it. It’s such an honest informative book. I was very invested in the different client stories. And it’s so easy and well written. Loved it.

Incredibly listenable, what makes Maybe You Should Talk to Someone different is that it is presented mostly through Lori’s relationship with her own therapist – Wendall. In this way it stands out from the traditional use of patient case studies to explore the profession. I loved the insight provided by Lori’s conversations with friends, her patients and Wendall, and the nuance this brought to the book. She does a fantastic job of balancing herself as a practitioner and as a human being, at times deeply affected by the lives of those she sees. Maybe You Should Talk to Someone is warm and funny as well as full of grief and quiet moments of comfort. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
