Out of the first 2 books in this series, I feel this one is difinently better. Not that the other was bad, but I love how this one takes a deeper dive into issues both political and everyday when it comes to racism. I love how it is informative and reflective, making you think and was also inspiration and hopeful. 100% a must read.

Another wonderful story based around the Calivista Motel and the real-life Proposition 187 in California in the 90s. This is based on Kelly Yang's real-life experiences as well as other immigrants, both documented and undocumented experiences before and after Prop 187. She was elated when the Courts threw out Prop 187 and thought that was the last tine politicians would run campaigns based on such hatred. But when Trump's Republican party were pushing for a similar situation, and the vitorol from the American public was giving her déjà vu, Yang knew she had to write about it.

As with Front Desk, our protagonist, Mia, is a delightful and motivated little girl. She alongside her family, and friends come up against yet more challenges in this second book but as always, kindness and teamwork win in the end. A fantastic story to introduce race issues to young children in a light manner.

This is another of the best book I read! I enjoyed reading this one and it was inspiring. I just read this book in 4 days and the story keeps me intrigued. This book was based on the author's experience while she was a kid. This book really amazed me because it also mentions our country here. The last book I read is somehow connected to this book and I was like it was just a coincidence. The last book I read is also about social justice and the fight for justice and this book is also about that. And I am proud of the immigrants who are in the US because they still fight for justice:)

It's called "Three Keys" because of the three main characters of this book. I loved this book because it was about immigrants in the US. The author included her life in this book which makes me inspired. While reading this book, I feel sad for those immigrants who live in the US, especially the kids. Immigrants should stand up for their rights and that's what they do in this book. Also, I searched for Prop 187, which is mentioned here in this book and it was real. After they passed the Prop 187, I feel sad for the immigrants. So, there's a lot of emotions while I read this one. Everyone should read this book.

Ahhhhhh! Devoured this audiobook. So, I listened to it on my drive home and definitely was emotional. There was definitely one point where I practically sobbed while driving.

For different reasons, I like this one better than the first!
