There´s a lot to unpack here. It was interesting to see POV of a loyal solider throughout holocaust as i usally read the victims POV. Though it was heavier than i expected for sure. I dont really like WW1 theme so the first half of the book was really slow paced for me.

A very good book, if not the best that I read! The horror of Auschwitz through the eye of an SS commandant. Heavy, honest, shocking and soul shaking. An emotional roller coaster.
