This book has so much action it made my head spin. Usually second books in a trilogy are slow and have a lot of set up but not this one. The ending was so chaotic I’m not sure where or how the next book will continue on.

I have slowly been making my way through The Shadowhunters' books for about a year now. After reading and loving The Infernal Devices series, I was apprehensive to pick up The Dark Artifices. Now that I have read two out of the three in The Dark Artifices series, I can guess that unless "Queen of Air and Darkness" does something super amazing, The Dark Artifices is my least favorite part of this series.
This book felt three hundred pages too long with too many perspectives and far too much information for the reader to sift through. I struggled to get into this book for weeks, and when I finally got a little momentum, the story was almost over. I do enjoy how complex Cassandra Clare makes her world and how much detail she pours into her writing, but this was just too much for me.
I do plan to continue my Shadowhunters journey, but I am more apprehensive to pick up an even longer Dark Artifices book.
