This book spoke to me like a warm hug. I wouldn’t call it perfect but I’m still giving it five ⭐️s because I loved it and enjoyed it. Gabi was fantastic. She had me at the ADAH rep and I stayed to see how the rest it worked out. I also loved Gabi’s family and I hope hope we get more of them in later series maybe someday?

Why did I read this book? I didn’t like the ex files. I hated this book. I don’t even know where to start. Her family bullied and abused her for her ADHD. Seriously I would’ve gone no contact with that toxic af family. I can’t believe her sister actually told her family how they met. The book is called walking red flag but every character is a red flag. Vic is controlling and way to into her being a virgin. He’s just gross about it. He hates how her family and friends treat her but he is no better. She is annoying and not in the way her family thinks she is annoying but because she wants to be bold and crass but like so shy and pure when it comes to sex. Her obsession with her own virginity and inexperience is toxic and gross. I’ve read books where this trope is done well. This wasn’t one of them. Numerous times I was yelling at the book because she was being stupid and obtuse. There was not a single thing I liked about this book. Not a single character that was remotely redeeming or interesting. Just a terrible story with terrible characters. I don’t think I can give this author another shot.

This book follows Gabi, the assistant to the FMC from book one in the series, and Vic, a doctor who is tired of his family trying to play matchmaker.
Gabi is a virgin, who has never orgasmed, who meets Vic at the hospital after she hurts herself trying to get off in the shower. Vic has some solid instant love energy, as he finds Gabi and her unfiltered personality hypnotic. They run into each other weeks later at a bar, and form a deal with one another. Vic will help Gabi orgasm if Gabi will pretend to date and match him to get his family off his back, win win here.
I found the premise of this book pretty entertaining, which was good because the writing wasn't Elizabeth's best. There's a lot of repitition and a lot of side comments or thoughts that really pulled me out of the story. The constant references to Vic's red flags (while never acknowledging any of Gabi's - and the fact that many of those "red flags" ARE NOT red flags???)and the constant "I'm a doctor" and "I know your body" references really did not do it for me. I did love Gabi as a FMC though and really enjoyed her quirky, chaotic personality. I also really did enjoy watching the romance bloom between these two; adorable.
