Good, I think. Maybe just one Chandler is enough to get the idea. If you like the idea, then you go for more.

Again with that extraordinary language and description. A multi-layered mystery with obvious motives in hindsight. Delicately balanced existence in a plot of death.

Usually in detective fiction, I try to keep up with the investigator, piece together clues and motives. With this one, there were so many folks and factums that I had to give it up and just enjoy the quintessential noir prose, a la "She had eyes like strange sins." It's a fun romp.
