Who doesn't love Alice in Wonderland ? The famous story never ceased to fascinate me, the words seem to take a different meaning every time I re-read it. It was interesting to see the tale in its different forms and to finally read the sequel. But I didn't appreciate the personal documents as much as I thought I would. In spite of his big imagination, the author seemed to lead quite a boring life.
I am not gonna lie, I skipped pages in the diary section, I hoped to read more of his thoughts and perspectives and less about his daily happenings.
Overall, this a beautiful and very interesting edition on the excentric character that was Charles Dogson and his primary works, I would recommend it if you're particularly interested in the author or perhaps if you're studying any piece of his.

I always wanted to read Alice in Wonderland, so I started reading this to my son after he was born. We're both enjoying it, though I find that it's a tough book to read aloud.
