This was the most boring, asinine biography I've ever read. Unfortunately, Jon Meacham comes across as a bit too obsessed with how amazing he finds Jefferson to write with a more objective and nuanced tone, like Ron Chernow (Washington: A Life) and David Mccullough (John Adams) are able to do. If you want good presidential biographies, read those two! I'm livid this won the Pulitzer Prize. I'm only reading one book per president so, no alternative Jefferson biography recommendation here, sorry!
