I loved Lydia's voice. The most original vampire story I've read. Veryuch about different forms of creation, appetite, and hunger.

Loved how the concept of vampirism was explored, especially the experience of drinking blood

Woman, Eating by Claire Kohda tells the story of a young vampire who is half vampire, half human who struggles with hunger, loneliness, family issues, and connecting to her culture as she tries to find her way in the world. I loved the descriptions used around her hunger and the dry dark humor but my issue with this book was that it starts off so so slow, the story felt like it was dragging on. It wasn’t until about 2/3 of the way though that I really started to enjoy it. This book had such an interesting concept but the execution fell short, I feel like this story could have benefited from being less “human” and more “vampire”. Overall, not my favorite read but I can definitely appreciate the overall story
