Liar (Madison Kate #2) by: Tate James
I don't usually gravitate towards danger, yet something inside encouraged me to give Liar a try. James pushes emotions to the limit. Unpredictable turns into hard to put down. From maybe to absolutely, Tate James knows how to deliver breathless.View all my reviews

** spoiler alert ** After finishing Hate, I knew I had to jump straight into book 2. If you have not read book one, you may want to skip this review, as there will most likely be book one spoilers.
This book follows directly on from book one, where our FMC, Madison Kate, is in the hospital after being attacked. She believed that Archer was the one who stabbed her, and the boys were banned from the hospital. Madison Kate then decides to discharge herself early and stay at a hotel instead of coming home, but obviously, Archer finds her and drags her home. In this book, we see more of MK’s stalker, and the relationship between MK & the boys is heating up. We also learn more about Zane, who is Archer’s brother, and more attempts are made on MK’s life.
Okay, so the beginning of this book was kinda sweet with the boys worrying for MK. When Archer gets her back at home though we get a scene with MK’s dad where he is such an arsehole he made me so mad! He threatens to send her to a mental hospital if she dares to leave the house. She is essentially on house arrest unless the boys say she can go somewhere, and when she can, they essentially go with her. This isn’t because MK’s dad cares no; Kody pushed for this to happen because he cares and doesn’t want anything to happen to her. Kody didn’t want her dad to be douche like he was though. Her dad gaslights her making out that she is making up her stalker and her attacker he’s such a twat I actually hate him!

“Madison Kate Danvers. If you walk out of this house right now, I’ll have you declared medically unfit and committed to Riverview Heights against your will”
Archer is still blowing hot and cold. Initially, he is cruel to MK, but he protects her and even breaks down the door when she’s having a nightmare. He needs to figure his shit out though. The best part so far is that MK, Kody and Steele are now happily together as the 3 of them which gave us a hot as fuck spicy scene with the 3 of them. It’s also been rather funny seeing Kody & Steele pranking Archer for cockblocking them.
MK has another brush with death in which her stalker saves her? She gets drugged, and her stalker administers Narcan, which helps since she would have died from overdosing. I still have no idea who this stalker is, and it’s driving me bonkers!
BE. MORE. CAREFUL
Also, I called it! MK was sold to Archer by her dad, and she ishis wife! This she has to learn from Zane, Archer is a nob & hasn’t told her, & Kody & Steele have loyalty to Archer, so they couldn’t tell her. This is where the book ends with MK hearing this truth bomb.
Congratulations, Mrs D’Ath. Welcome to the family.
I was hooked on this book from the beginning and gave this 5 stars. It is better than book one in my opinion, as there is more action and romance in this one.
I’m super excited to read Fake.
