This series centers around people that were given a start in life via an extended foster family in Sydney. In this one Neve, a mechanic and ex-porn star has a fortuitous encounter with Jessica Beaumont, a quiet and successful businesswoman who happens to be a big fan of Neve's previous work. Jessica ends up financing Neve's new business and beginning a relationship with her, but is the relationship actually with Neve or her porn-persona?
I liked this more than the first one, even though it starts with an even more outrageous coincidence than that one did. It's far from a common thing to see a relationship where one of the participants is a former sex worker with positive feelings about that work, and even where that work has a direct bearing on the current relationship. Again there's a lot going on here, as it also addresses Neve's complex family history with Jessica as support and the conflict when it comes is from a direction that makes sense given the setup, but is unusual to see in a romance.
Unfortunately and again, a lack of editing/beta reading shows here with numerous errors, particularly and annoyingly with the show that Neve used to be on which literally has three different names used in the text.
