I typically shy away from series because I get burned out. I started the fourth Game of Thrones novel like two years ago and I can't get through more than a couple pages before I give up again. The Trespasser has been on my radar for awhile and sounded like an interesting read. Given my series commitment issues, I was reluctant at first, but I read some reviews that said you could read them as stand alone novels, so I thought I'd take a chance. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this story. It was a pretty standard mystery and there wasn't anything really shocking about it, but I thought the characters were well written as were the interrogation scenes. I purchased In the Woods and then I'll see if I want to continue the series.

Another great read by Tana French. I love her books, they feel like I'm watching a tv show (a better one than the hames they made of Dublin Murders on tv.

My least favorite part of all Tana French's books is when they end- and we have to wait years for the next one.

Loved this book. It kept me reading as I wanted to see if i was correct about who did it. Highly recommend.

DID NOT FINISH

only read the beginning and the end. it's not my cup of tea but a well put together mystery from what I could tell.

Felt the book could have been shorter.

Another masterful mystery by Tana French. I was a bit worried after the fifth book, but The Trespasser is up to her usual gold standard. Stayed up almost all night to finish because I just couldn't put it down!

Half of the fun is guessing which character she'll write about next. Crossing my fingers for the next book to be about our enigmatic gaffer. :)

My first Tana French. Tough to stick with such a prickly and unhappy main character, but worth it in the end.

This one was better than her last one, though that's not really a huge compliment. But still not nearly as good as her first few. It started off interesting but lulled really badly in the middle, and so many of the tangents the detectives went off on were just too stupid to be believable. The result was that I felt annoyed for large chunks of time while reading.

This book is my favorite in the series. Fast-paced throughout the full story, with the added bonus of enough mystery that I wasn’t sure how it would end. Also, had some good commentary on being an aggressive woman in the workplace.
