4 ⭐ ‘s. I won this book via a Goodreads giveaway which I am so grateful for!  This is a fair and unbiased review without spoilers.

The cover of this book, both the sleeve and two tone hardcover, are beautiful and look great on my shelf. It certainly catches the eye of my Millennial guests and sparks conversation.

I learned many new things and enjoyed the history of how the movie came to be. There were so many small details and highlights that I was unaware of. I really enjoyed how so many “small” roles both on camera and behind the scenes were explored. It helped shape for me how the movie came together and how much goes into a production like this. Also I think it's cool that those people got a little bit of extra shine.

I loved the photos included and wish there had been more! The book did a great job tying in how Mean Girls became a cult classic and continues to live on.

There was a bit of repetitive writing with examples or descriptions that felt like trying to meet word count but it wasn't super distracting. I did wonder throughout the book where all of the information was coming from without reference to interviews. I found the answer in the last 40 pages of the book where there are extensive notes and acknowledgements. I appreciate the author taking the time to compile this.

This has been one of my favorite ARC wins to date.  I agree with the description of this being part love letter, it's a great reference book for a cult classic that any Mean Girls fan should have on their shelf.
