Story of Indie and Alex

Love love love this book! This is a rockstar romance. Well written, great character development. HEA. I won’t say anything else about this as I don’t want to spoil it but I will say, read it!

The narrators did an amazing job, love anything Shane East does. Loved Muffy’s performance too.

Once upon a time I fell in love with a rock star. His name was Alex Winslow and he was the midnight blue to her indigo. He was the earth to her ocean. He was the beautiful storm she survived.

"I wish he didn't look like an angry god and write like a tortured poet."

Now, let me tell you something about Alex Winslow: Alex is talented, gorgeous, wild, rude, screwed-up, witty, broody, impatient, a bully, recovering drug addict, trouble. BIG trouble. AND the very definition of sex on legs. But mostly he is a shattered, tortured soul, a lost boy looking for his home, wearing an armor full of bullets and cracks.

With other words, if Alex Winslow was a HotHole, he'd bring the very same definition of one to a whole new level! By creating Alex, Leigh mastered the art of writing a-grade assholes we all fall for.

"And you're the rivers and mountains. Maybe even the oxygen itself. You're the wind that carries me from place to place. The only high I always chase."

Indigo is innocent, strong, special, down-to-earth, caring, trusting, carefree, candid, honest, raw, pure, sweet, tough, witty. I like how she's standing her ground in the world of rock stars, never backing down. Indigo is a beautiful heroine inside out. Wearing her feelings on the sleeve.

"You look at me with dynamite in your eyes, waiting for me to light up the match and finally set you on fire."

"You said you loved to see how we burn together. So you took a match. Lit us up. And now we burn forever."

Together Alex and Indigo are a wild fire that doesn't want to be tamed. And it shouldn't. With their love they see the essential that's invisible to the eye. Both learned to feel with their hearts.

" I don't want your yesterday. And would never expect your tomorrow. But if we can have today, I will show you what love tastes like."

Midnight Blue a story about mistakes, sins and errors. A journey from asteroid to asteroid trying to find meaning of life. About loosing your heart, getting it sewn back together in tattered patches. Making the heart whole again with it's very own imperfections. It's about growing up, owning your past and mistakes and falling in love.

This book is everything I expected and so much more!
Remember your biggest crush on a rock star? It's like chasing the perfect wave. With Midnight Blue Leigh let you ride that wave and let you live your dream to the fullest. She'll take your heart and squeeze it, turn your insides to knots like there is no tomorrow. Without regret.
While reading this special book, I left bits and pieces of myself behind within the pages. Midnight Blue filled a void, a deep need for this book, I never knew I had. It played my mind and heart like Alex played the guitar, tune by tune. Creating a new unique song.

"Once upon a time, a mere mortal fell in love with a rock god. You probably know this is not a fairy tale by now. Mortals and gods don't mix."

Oh my god!

This book gave me so many feelings! I felt so in tune with Indigo, she was so realistic to me. And Alex... he infuriated me, he entertained me, he made me fall in love. I had tingles from my heart all the way down to my toes at some point of the book. Other times, I felt my heart breaking wide open with their pain. I know it’s only January, but this book will remain one of my top reads of 2018!

Not for me. The twist I guess was interesting, but the ending felt rushed. The FL forgave way too easily. The author also uses drug addiction for characters so casually, and makes it seem its an easy thing to turn off.

LJ Shen can write the most hateful asshole then redeem him in the end like no one else. Great book, great characters, great story.

A to stále dokola. A Alex? No co si budeme povídat.

A to rozhodně nemyslím v pozitivním smyslu slova. V konečném součtu je to však půl na půl. Barvu půlnoci bych s čistým svědomím nikomu nedoporučila. Četla jsem už mnohem lepší knihy a to dokonce přímo od samotné autorky.

Lovers of rockstar romances will lose their minds with Midnight Blue. This was my first L.J. Shen book, and I can't wait to devour more. The writing was superb, the plot intriguing, with a twist I didn't see coming at the end. The tension... the STEAM. *sigh* I lost myself within the pages of this one. Most of all, the characters were SO beautifully written, and I found it nearly impossible to put this book down until I'd finished every last word. That's my favorite kind of read -- the unputdownable kind. Phenomenal!

Shaking my fucking head.

I knew it!!! I knew it since the cover was a half-naked male. Jesus fucking Christ. I can’t even start saying what I hated the most here. Just... awful. Ugh!
