Fractured fairy tale with some fun elements. Not sure the purpose of Cinderella, though -- beyond familiarity of the name in the title.

While Cinderella is portrayed as a lazy brat, the unknown, third Ugly stepsister, Gertie, wants to be bad and ugly, but is really kind at heart. An invitation to the ball at the palace arrives, and Gertie wants to go. She is told that she needs to learn to be a true Ugly sister and is sent to learn from the best. However, her kindness continues to shine through and causes her to thwart the plans of other fairy tale villians such as the Evil Queen from Snow White, the Witch from Hansel and Gretel, and the Big Bad Wolf...

Not a dynamic read. The ending was flat and Cinderella didn't need to become a jerk.

Listen...my kid loves this book. If I have to read a book to her more than 3 times, I'm counting it toward my reading goal lol

Not a bad premise but didn't like some of the odd twists on the Cinderella story. Also the ending was unexpectedly (and unnecessarily) dark.

A very clever re-telling of Cinderella and other fairy tales! Being a super fan of re-tellings, I'm always happy to find one that's clever and well-done.

Fun twist on the original, great "retro" illustrations reminds me of "golden book" styles.

A different spin on the classics that we all know and love. This was really cute!

best for hardcore fans of fractured fairy tales. i found it overly long and kind of tiresome.
