Wow, somehow I missed the memo that Sedaris is an ableist, racist piece of work. Perhaps he’s evolved since writing this but I’m out. ✌️

not for me. the casual racism and classism and all-around crassness was quite unenjoyable.

I have whiplash from this mix of hilarious and horribly offensive essays.

I was smiling by page two, but a little bored by page 45. I really enjoyed the other collections of stories about Sedaris’s life, which this collection is not 100% about.

I was in the mood for essays, not short stories.

I love David Sedaris' stories. I love them even more when I get to hear him tell them.

Hilarious and quick read. Loved the "Sanataland Diaries." Retail at Christmas...I'm glad I'm not there anymore.

I love everything David Sedaris writes. Did I tell you I have tickets to see him next month? Because I DO!

Barely tolerable, supposedly humorous, essays regarding the holiday season. If my book club hadn't selected it, I wouldn't have finished it.

Funny, snarky, and entertaining. I think I'll be reading this again next year. :)
