My work bestie wrote a book! And even if I wasn't biased, I would still think this book was brilliant. The world-building is absolutely incredible - so intricate and vivid, with such an in-depth backstory and undercurrents of how the social strata operates and was built. The tech is so integral and well-integrated and rationalised. Ultsurf sounds like it would be so addictive and so compelling and is just one of the most fully considered fictional sports I've ever read. I spent most of the book just willing Osei-Afrifa to write novels out of this universe. And then I got to the end, and wow, that ending. I honestly just want to go back and re-read it again and again. This is going to live in my head rent free for a long time coming. Cannot wait to read anything and everything they write in future.
