Quirky and relatable! Loved it. Such a cute and in-depth read!

There was a part, the solid middle of the novel, where I was so into this.
And then I felt like the author gave me only the ending I cared next to nothing about.
Some might be Simon Snow fatigue- read this shortly after finishing that trilogy, which I liked but did not love- but mostly this ending just fell incredibly flat, and has left me real disappointed. La.

I really wish the book had ended before the last 10 chapters. It had the potential to be a 5/5 but the author decided to keep writing and ended up ruining it.

I loved the initial idea of introducing or mentioning "Carry On" as a fanfiction in the beginning. However, as the story progressed "Carry On" began to take over more and more causing the main story to fade away.

Also the love interest getting together so early and easily was a letdown. As a rom-com what am I supposed to be interested in if they're already a couple? There's no plot whatsoever that can capture my attention or keep me engaged with the book.

I read Eleanor & Park and I wanted desperately to love the book. That was not the case. It was well written and had a good plot but i just couldn't get into it. When i first saw this book I almost keep going because I just wasn't impressed with Eleanor & Park. I'm glad I picked it up and read it. I enjoyed this one thoroughly. I'm actually excited to read Rainbow Rowell's other book as well, now.

This was difficult to rate for me because I absolutely loved the characters. They were so easy to relate to and just fall in love with - especially Levi. And I even loved the plot of the story and everything that happened; how their live evolved, how her relationship evolved with her sister and the dedication she put into reliving and writing her story. The problem I have with it is that I don’t feel the author had any true plot and I realised this about halfway through; for such a long book nothing big happens - there was no climax. And that was disappointing. As well as this the book comes across as a demonstration of fan fiction and the fan base community; but I don’t think this is what the book truly represents. The story represents a coming or age and self realisation. However, all of this aside I did enjoy the story and get lost within the characters, which is exactly what a book should cause you to do.

favourite book as a teenager. i wanted to write like rowell so bad after reading this book. v well-written and great depiction of anxiety and low self-esteem. for me, this was THE standard for YA writing.
