Another wonderful book by Matt Haig.
This reminds me of how beautiful life can be and feels like a therapy session.
Will definitely re-read many times.

For anyone having a hard time, here’s your ideal companion.
This book has a series of thoughts, reflections and quotes about life, sadness, joy, being, and much more. Although it goes in a pretty steady direction, it brings a few perspectives that keep it interesting for any kind of person. Besides, it is written in such a sincere way that it feels believable to the average mortal (unlike many texts by people who have achieved this peace of mind).
I’m definitely picking it and paging through it when time demands it.

Oh… I feel better after reading this book. I’m not a non-fiction reader, but I really needed this book. I read some things that someone should have told me, I needed to hear some things to understand others… and I’m totally gonna re-read this book when I feel down

I stuck with it because it was short, but I wished I would have DNFed.

Listen, it does what it says on the tin. It was a comforting read. Haig was at his best bringing in wisdom from many voices as well as sharing his own story of healing from depression. It’s a kind book, but the Buddhist-adjacent approach just doesn’t connect my own beliefs and philosophy.

Again I'm here for the cover but not impressed :/ there were pages I loved so much and other pages that bored me out of my mind. I'm giving it 3⭐ because it was a light read and I needed that.
