The children have found themselves saved by some good demons , they work on a plan to get to minerva. However they discover the world has been plagued with demons much longer than 30 years and that to get to humanity it might be a trickier journey than they thought

Another thrilling volume!
It's a bit weird to read beyond the anime and slowly get answers, but I'm finding it all very fascinating. The tone of the manga definitely changed, though it's still engaging (even if I feel like I'm losing momentum a bit, perhaps because I've been binge-reading this series for a few days).
I knew the demon guys couldn't be all that good, and look, I was right! Still, they were very interesting characters, and I loved their character design. I hope they'll appear again.
Fave thing: Emma being a proud big sister and showing her family pics to Musica. Also Gilda and the kids scolding Ray and Emma for not taking care of themselves.

“this flower pierced my sister’s heart… conny, norman, hao, ceddie, everyone. i hope it didn’t hurt for them. i hope it wasn’t scary.” AHHH I LOVE EMMA. and mujika and everyone except sonju. but above all i continue to believe emma is the best mc of all time! and wow scary stuff re: the mass production farms. can’t wait for volume 7!
