amazing! i went into the book thinking it would be a short enemies to lovers story, and came out with not only that but a heartbreaking and beautiful story about two characters learning how to move through their trauma and finding comfort in each other. already want to reread it and can’t wait for other books that amanda woody will write!

All the shining stars for this absolutely beautiful book!!! I could not stop reading, I was so captivated by Jonah and Dylan’s intertwining stories. This book puts them through so much, tackles so many difficult topics, and watching them learn to lean on each other as feelings blossomed was just beautiful. I cannot recommend this queer young adult romance enough — truly superb.

I knew this was going to be a 5 star read from the jump. I loved it so much!!! My beautiful bisexual babies with the world on their shoulders!!! They’re enemies, they’re lovers, they’re fake dating, they’re comforting each other and figuring out the world together! I ate it all up. I thought the tough topics were handled with care and I fell in love with these boys and their stories.

Someone said that "in many ways, this book is the definition of Twitter discourse", and that's a very accurate description. It was ridiculous and had sentences like this:
She looks like a person who thinks 15 percent tip is generous.

The romance itself was fine but their reasons to "hate" each other and the whole fake-date situation are both nonsensical.

I didn't like Dylan at all. Actually, I didn't like anyone but Jonah, 'cause no one else felt like a real person.

Both of the POVs are written in exactly the same way and so were indistinguishable.

It felt like Amanda Woody included plot points with alcoholic father and estranged brother just to show that those situations are bad. Just blizzare.
