3.5 stars..almost giving it a 4. I liked that Jack is a sorta protective guy towards his woman. I just hated that he had a lot of hookups in the past.

Eh, it was an okay book. Yet, I seem to be on a Vi Keeland trend lately so I might as well chug through the series. Maybe it will get better?

Belong to You didn't seem like anything new to me. I've read some stories where the marriage doesn't happen and someone goes on the honeymoon with a friend or something. So, yeah, it wasn't something new to me. Then there's Sydney and Jake.. and they were cute and stuff.. but nothing really exciting happened between them.

At first, I was intrigued because Jake was pretty mysterious. Unfortunately, that didn't last very long. Well, at least for me. Again, they were cute but they were mostly just okay characters for me. I wanted sparks or something. I mean, they had obvious chemistry but it felt like something was missing from this one.

Wished I liked it more than I did.

Belong To You was exactly like I expected it to be. The chemistry between Jack and Sydney was pretty solid. They had immediate attraction to each other and decided that a holiday fling would be nice to partake in until they had to go back to reality.

And boy did they partake in this fling for half of the book. Syd’s honeymoon was mainly spent with Jack exploring the island and each other. The second half dealt with them leaving their wonderland and going back to their separate homes. However, (surprise, surprise) they run into each other and it starts all over again.

Through the ten (random) questions that they were each allowed to ask, you got to know their characters better. You find that neither have a squeaky clean past (not saying that they are mass murders) and if they want to make something between them, a whole lot of work needs to happen.

Holy hell that was HOT!

Belong To You was not what I expected just by reading the synopsis. For those that are worried about cheating/love triangles, you will NOT find that here :)

Moving on....

Meet Sydney:

After her failed engagement with Michael, Sydney ends up going on her honeymoon with her best friend, Sienna.

Meet Sienna:

While Sydney is more reserved and cautious, Sienna is wild, crazy and determined to help pull Sydney out of her funk.

Sienna suggest that Sydney embrace her freedom in beautiful Hawaii and find a re-bound to have fun with.

As fate would have it, Sydney meets Jack.

Meet Jack:

When Jack and Sydney first meet, their chemistry is off the charts.
His fingers brushed mine as he handed me one, sending an electric jolt that made me pull my hand back. I looked up at him confused. He leaned down to my eye level and look me straight in the eyes, briefly searching for something.

"I felt it too."

What was suppose to be just a one-week rebound turns into something more that has Sydney questioning not only herself, but her failed relationship with Michael.
I think my heart skipped a beat for a minute at his words. Or maybe it just started beating again finally.

But their growing relationship is not without it's problems. With Jack's inexperience with relationships, and Sydney's inexperience with men in general, both of them must conquer their fears in order to make their relationship work.

I was really surprised with how different Belong To You was in terms of plot arcs and twists. At first I assumed this book would follow the same format as many have in the wake of Fifty Shades, Bared to You, etc. but other than an inexperienced girl, and a rich alpha male, this is where the similarities ended. Not only does Jack have a few interesting skeletons in his closet, but Sydney's lack of experience fails to make her the weak, naive girl. Once the story picked up, I could not put it down.

And for all my naughty friends, let me just tell you how HOT the sex scenes were. My gosh, the namesake of this book is by far one of the best scenes in this book.
Jack's grip on my hands behind my back tightened. His pale green eyes turned almost gray, dark and wild.

"Say it again. Louder"

I raised my voice and matched his gaze.

"I belong to you."

Belong To You was sexy, romantic and very entertaining. And I am REALLY excited that we will be seeing more of Sydney and Jack in book 2, Made For You.

4 stars*

I freaking loved this book. Jack is definitely my new book boyfriend. He is seriously yummy!! This book was written just the way I like with the focus on the relationship. There was minor angst here and there with interesting dialogue. Great supporting characters too. I could read this again next week and enjoy it just as much. I'm off now to read the next one "Made For You". I need to check on other books by this author! Thank you Vi Keeland.

Belong To You by Vi Keeland started with Sydney and her friend Sienna on the plane coming home from Sydney’s honeymoon only, she was not married and there was no groom as she called off her wedding to Michael. While on her honeymoon Sydney meets a man named Jack and they have a holiday fling. Their fling was hot and steamy throughout and when home Sydney cannot seem to stop thinking about Jack. Until he walks into the Hotel where she works and she finds out he is in fact her boss.

I loved this book, it was sexual, passionate, and all about trust and commitment and learning to get over personal barriers that both Sydney and Jack had built around them.

Their characters were wonderful and I can definitely see why Sydney fell for Jack…he is hot!
I cannot wait for book 2.
