When I start to read a book, I will give the book the first three chapters. If in three chapters I am still not wanting more I will stop reading. This book did not do that. After chapter one I knew that I would want more after the book was done. Boy did I want more and then some.
You meet Rachel. Rachel is loving life as a college student. She has an awesome best friend who is also her roommate. The only thing that is sucking about her life is that Blake is making her very uncomfortable. After an intense date with Blake that sends Rachel into a very scary situation her and best friend move into a apartment. There they meet Kash and his roommate Mason. But little did they know the boys are there undercover for the local police station. Right there you know this is going to make an amazing book!
I couldn't get enough of it. I wanted more and more with each chapter. You would get so involved with each character and with each event in the story. You wanted things to work out between Rachel and Kash. And honestly you wanted Blake to die. You really just need to read this book. And pretty much any other Molly McAdams book. She is truly an amazing writer is doing amazing things.

Good book, with a great story line and characters that just draw you in. I would recommend this book.
With that said, I think this book and the second book could have been combined into one book and should be considered part of the Taking chances series as the two series come together in the 3rd taking chances book Trusting Liam.
For any one who hasn't read either of these series I have listed the reading order below.
Taking Chances
Stealing Harper (same story as Taking Chances, just from Chase's point of view)
Forgiving Lies
Deceiving Lies
Changing Everything (basically a love story with no real danger or action, unlike the other stories)
Trusting Liam

I tried, really. I think maybe it's a case of it's not you, it's me? Molly McAdams books and I just don't get along, unfortunately. While this book was an improvement upon her others, I still have so many issues with them that it just hurts my head to think about. I got more than 50% of the way through this one, but I honestly have lost all interest in the characters, the story, etc. I'm not going to force myself to finish. But I will point out some of the things I felt about the book...
Good:
The writing was slightly improved, but there were still some strange time lapses and such. Why can't we just stick to a nice, chronological timeline please??
The male love interest wasn't a total douche bag.
...That's all I can think of right now.
Bad:
I got bored. I didn't care for the characters and couldn't relate with them enough to want to finish reading their story.
The MC's best friend was a total bitch. If your friend tells you that someone raped them, why the f*** would you not believe them? And if your friend didn't believe you when you told them something so important, why the f*** are you still friends/roommates with them??? Can someone explain this to me?
There's my two cents on this one. I think I really, truly am going to give up on Molly McAdams now. I can't handle another book like this again.

I kind of wanted to stop reading this book, which doesn’t happen often, but I went ahead and finished it.
The writing in this book isn’t the best, but it was also really hard to believe how people were behaving. Just very strange reactions to dramatic situations, along with the toxic relationship between the main character and her “best friend.”
I’m trying to read the whole series, so I will try another of her books. But if it’s not any better… I’ll probably move on.

Loved this book so much I couldn't put it down. The love, suspense and humor was just enough for me. I can't wait to follow it up with the next one.
