Decent fantasy novel. I was a bit disappointed - the story wasn't as fascinating as I hoped for. On the other hand I'm a bit relived that I didn't love it, since a lot of people have criticized the third and last book in this series.

I love the way Anthony Ryan was able to create a complete story, with closure, and yet leave so much open, to make one want to read the next.
The story is compelling, and the characters relatable. Fully worth the 5 stars I gave it.

Easily one of my favorite reads of all time. Excelled in pretty much every category, I really have nothing bad to say about this book. Time to see if book 2 and 3 are as bad as everyone says.
