Originally my rating was a solid 3—the banter was great (Kai’s banter always is), but the plot of this was honestly a slog. It felt like this could have been a novella with how little of note seemed to happen plot-wise.
That being said, it pulled me back in with the ending and did not conclude how I thought it would. On sheer WHATTTT factor alone, it sucked me back in, so I will def be reading the next book!

okay i don’t understand why this book got so much hate. yes, there was not a bunch of action, but i feel like it was important to understand the development of the two main characters and their relationships. we got a lot of information that will probably be useful in the next book. one thing that i didn’t like was i felt like the ending was reallyyyyy rushed and short. however, it sets up fearless really well. for those reasons, i am patiently waiting for april!
