I'm not a big fan of short stories, but I'm a fan of [a:Misty Massey|1111303|Misty Massey|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1199498051p2/1111303.jpg] and [b:Mad Kestrel|15795400|Mad Kestrel|Misty Massey|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1344755553l/15795400._SX50_.jpg|2512977], so it was certainly enjoyable to read these four vignettes of Kestrel and the crew. They're light and clever, each one a revealing porthole into the world Massey has created. Yeah, that metaphor was probably too cutesy, but I think it's appropriate, since the view is necessarily limited by the format. Looking forward to the depth of character and intricate plotting of another full length Kestrel story at some point.
