If you like 90s horror, cults, and/or analog horror, this is the book for you!
I've been waiting ages to read this book and I'm so so happy that it was exactly as I imagined! The story line is amazing, with multiple different characters and such cool representation of not only poc characters, gay characters, but also strong females who try to crush standards. I loved the end, as somewhat sad as it was. I cant imagine another ending this book could have.
I loved how we start off with a amnesiac protagonist that's tasked with finding out about her past and also fixing the future to some extent. While I would have loved to see her alternative future with Issac, I love the ending and how she stayed to fix the terrible lessons about goodness and obedience the show taught the circle.
5/5 would read more works by this author again!

I liked the narrator and enjoyed the idea of this book.
I was hoping it would be creepier and maybe that’s just a me thing, but it wasn’t quite the horror I was hoping for.
That being said, minus a little bit of a slow start, I really enjoyed this book, even if it did make my inner child a little sad that I could relate so much to these characters. Overall, I enjoyed the message of the story even if it wasn’t scary in the way I had hoped for.

This book had me wanting to read chapter after chapter, a real page turner. I was both shocked and intrigued after every chapter! The reveal was wild and unexpected to me. The ending frustrated me, I wish it had ended better, but people make the decisions they make for family. I can see it being turned into a movie.
