A beautiful blend of intriguing mystery, humour and heart. I never felt that one aspect was sacrificed for another - it is superbly well-balanced. I fell in love with the characters in the first book and I fell in love with them all over again in this one. I can’t recommend this series enough and I can’t wait to see what trouble the Thursday Murder Club gets into next.

It was a fun read, I enjoyed it slightly less than the first one but I plan to continue reading the series.

I really enjoyed this sequel! It was fast paced and it kept me entertained! I do feel like some events got a bit confusing and hard to follow, but I loved the book regardless! I’m excited to continue with the series!

The second instalment in The Thursday Murder Club introduces several new characters, especially significantly adding spies to the mix. A lot of twists and turns as we get to know them all, how they connect to each other and to our central four retirees, and see how the different plot threads approach and separate.

I really appreciated the way the relationships between the characters continued to develop.

And I found the plot about the spies and diamonds fascinating!

But my favourite part was the denouement at the end, the tying up of loose threads and answering of last questions I had.

Really enjoyed this book, it follows nicely on from the first book but can be read as a standalone. Looking forward to starting the third in the series.
