Excellent in every way. Natalie Haynes took a difficult concept of essentially short stories and weaves them into one. She does not stray from the gore and ruthless of Greek history, but her beautiful prose makes the hit easier.
My favourites were Penelope with her dry wit and Clytemnestra with her cunning vengeance.
I laughed, I cried and wished for more for the women in history. Absolutely beautiful.
Now onto her backlog of books 😁

Yay for half stars! This was a really beautiful book of the women of the trojan war. Knowing little about Troy and not being so good with slower paced books I expected to be a little bored reading this, but fortunely I didn't find that to be the case

If you love books like Circe or Song of Achilles, you will love this books. The jumping between characters makes the book so easy and quick to read, and flows together flawlessly. The tales of these women are inspiring and sad and heartwarming and beautiful.
