Cinnamon spice and everything nice! Such a great way to start getting into the fall season. Small town. Second chance romance. Madison & Zach’s story started when they were young. I do have to say that Gram was one of my favorite in the book. Her witty self and big heart. Highly recommend especially for fall reading while cozy under a blanket with something hot to drink.

Overall I enjoyed this one. I can't even explain why I'm not giving it 5 stars. It is definitely a small down cozy romance. I think maybe I wanted more depth about the reopening and Inn related things. The secrets and the lack of communication just really didn't do it for me like usual. I will continue with the series.

Book Recap: Madison has moved on from her life in Maple Grove in pursuit of her dream to become a food writer in New York, but when she receives a mysterious letter asking her to come back to save her childhood home, the Cinnamon Spice Inn, she puts her dreams on hold. The inn isn’t the only thing she left behind. The repairs the inn requires means they need the best contractor in town, who happens to be Madison’s ex-boyfriend, Zach. Together they have to work to save the inn in order to save the town.

Let's talk about it... When it comes to fall vibes, this book delivers on every level. The small town of Maple Grove is filled with charm, gossip, and festive activities that help you imagine walking down the streets yourself as they prepare for Halloween. As someone who grew up in a small town, I think the this book perfectly captures small town life, but in the best way.

Some of my favorite things about this book were Madison’s family, her friends (new and old), and getting to meet all the townsfolk. Madison’s family really seemed to care for her. While I didn’t agree with all of their choices, I do appreciate the intent behind them as they were always made out of love. The side characters were loveable and I can’t wait to get to know them better as the series goes on. It was evident early on that book two would be Liam’s book. This has been confirmed now and I can’t wait to read The Spiced Cocoa Café when it releases in October.
This wasn’t the best written series. I found that the miscommunication trope was repeated far too often for my taste, but this is one of my least favorite book tropes. Most of the main characters problems could have easily been solved if they had just spoken to one another which was frustrating at times, but I still enjoyed the book overall.
If you don’t mind the miscommunication trope and want a book filled with fall vibes, this is a quick and easy read that can get you into the autumn spirit.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookoture for an ARC of this book! All opinions are my own.
The Cinnamon Spice Inn follows Madison who finds herself back in her small town of Maple Falls after she receives a mysterious letter letting her know that her parents inn is in trouble. When she shows up, she runs into her ex-boyfriend Zach. As the two are pushed together by meddling townies and circumstances, she finds that her place may be here with Zach rather than back in New York.
I thought this was such a great and quick book to read for the fall season! I've always been a fall person so getting to read this ARC was right up my alley and brought me so many comforting fall vibes.
This book was such a quick read for me. When I got time to just sit and read, I flew through this book. I thought the biggest thing going for this book was the vibes that this created. It really made me feel those very fall vibes with the crisp air and the cool breeze in the air. I really felt like I stepped into Maple Falls and the fall setting it was setting up which I loved.
I also really adored the town that this was based in as I found it to be so comforting. I lvoed how everyone knew each other and cared about each other so much. I thought Harper did a fantastic job on teh side characters and making us really come to care for them.
I did think Madison and Zach were cute together but if you don't like miscommunication this might not be the book for you. I found myself every time wanting to shake these two and tell them to just talk to each other because the reasons they were staying apart was honestly kind of silly and could have been solved with just a conversation. They were high school sweethearts so I didn't feel like we really got to see their relationship grow a lot since they already knew so much about each other.
However, I did still enjoy their love story and really loved seeing them come together and how they interacted with those in their town. The people who are in the town are a little ridiculous but you can't help but love them. I absolutely adored Madison's dad too. He was so sweet and really loves rescuing animals.
The plot of this book was mostly about building the inn back up to its former glory which I really enjoyed. The way that Madison really worked hard to bring it back to the way it used to be really warmed my heart.
I would definitely say if you are looking for a book with really cozy, fall vibes, definitely pick this book up because it was fantastic.

The world-building is amazing: I want to visit Maple Falls now! I can imagine it very vividly up to the smells, i want to visit the coffee shop, taste that chocolate and those cinnamon rolls! Loved the secondary characters: people living there sound so nice, and the narration really did a good job of bringing them to life. The two lovers thought? Nothing. I feel like we don't have much to get attached to them. Their love story is disappointing as it is marked by miscommunication, more specifically, they don't communicate enough. Why do they love each other? Unsure.

The Cinnamon Spice Inn is a cosy, comforting, autumnal read. The characters of Maple Falls are funny, warm hearted, kind and make you want to immediately visit this cute town.
Sadly I felt the romance part of the story was a little lacking and predictable. I quite often like the miscommunication trope but it felt overused here and pretty unnecessary.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy for this ARC!
