I loved it!
While I loved the first one more, this one was also great! Twelve, Five, Six, and Seven are continuing their adventure in this book! It’s so much fun and I really loved the ending of it. I’m so excited for the 3rd book to come out next year! I can’t wait!

It's solid, but for whatever reason like with the first book I just don't feel fully immersed into this world, and I can't really put my hand on why. There's good stuff in this book, it just doesn't really connect with me personally like I'd hoped.

There's also a few aspects I don't like though, such as the return of the "ugly equals evil" trope which plagues the fantasy genre as a whole, plus some rather flat newly introduced characters.

I might check out book three, might not.

Another exciting and action packed instalment in this super fun series with an ending that’s left me needing book three asap.

Not quite as gripping as the first book and at times it felt like they just should just hurry up and do what they needed to do, there would have been a lot less stress without all the time wasting. But I still enjoyed the book and liked all the characters, and of course I need book 3 asap!
