“The Sibling Survival Guide” by Dawn Huebner PhD is everything I hoped it would be when I began reading! I mean, I whispered “please be good, please be good” under my breath as my ereader was loading. Huebner’s book is PERFECTION! Written for a 9-12 year old audience, but filled with accessible nuggets for parents, this book contains chapter after chapter of real talk and real activities focused on sibling relationships. I can’t wait to get a physical copy to use over and over! Clinically, this book would be ideal to assign as homework for parents to read with children. It also lends well to incorporation into sessions focused on family dynamics prior to adoption, blending a family, adding foster children, and more! There are prompts for reflection and discussion as well as fun illustrations and silly stories.

As always, I’m grateful to the publisher and NetGalley for providing an advanced digital copy in exchange for an honest review. The words and opinions are all my own.
