Marlon Bundo is a good bunny. He loves a bunny named Wesley, and Wesley loves him. Will they overcome obstacles so they can hop together forever? If you’ve ever been a bit different, this is a book for you.

This is very cute and sweet satire. My partner and I listened to the audiobook version, but the illustrations are too adorable to miss.

Yes, this is a book that mainly exists to give the finger to Mike Pence and his homophobic views but within the pages, this is purely a children's book - a good one at that! If you want something different to read to a young child then I highly recommend it. If you want to buy a book written by comedians to help raise money for the Trevor Project to combat LGBT+ issues then I also highly recommend it.
Nice little comedic details include an About The Author section (written by the titular bunny, Marlon Bundo) and reviews written by other animals (the cat review was very eloquent).

I got this title along with Charlotte and Karen Pence's "Marlon Bundo's A Day in the Life of the Vice President" because I saw John Oliver's book ambush on "Last Week Tonight" a few months ago. The Pence book is really nothing special - okay artwork and nothing to really engage the reader. This work, however, has a lot more going on. There's humor, some of which is satire aimed at the Pence book, but most of it is cute, character related, like names and descriptions of characters. There are also a couple of meaningful messages, that it's okay for people (or animals) to be different or that it's okay for people (or animals) to be happy or that rules made by people (or animals) who are in charge need some reason for being rules. It doesn't necessarily get into the tyranny of the majority or take into account the feelings of the Stink Bug (other than he's a jerk who doesn't care about other people's (or animals') feelings). Still, this is a much superior book, though with professionals rather than political family members doing the writing and artwork it certainly should be.

So super cute

"Stink bugs are temporary. Love is forever."

This was LOVELY

The audio book + the illustrations are just too great! Love it!!!!!

A short and sweet story about love, friendship and democracy with simple yet absolutely adorable illustrations that helped keep the story light while tackling important subjects. It genuinely made me smile and got me teary-eyed. I loved it and it really left a strong positive impression on me.

So funny and clever.
