cute book!! I was slightly taken aback by the mention of tiktok and instagram (not used to books written in the 2020s I guess?) but I loved the story and can’t wait to read more!! also was super excited to find recipes at the end <3 amazing

The perfect autumnal, witchy light hearted read.

This was my first witchy and Gretchen Rue book and I loved it! I loved all the characters and the story line that although has the thriller nature made me feel really warm hearted ay the end.

The incredible little details about the bakery and teas etc really made the book feel so homely and just the perfect October read. I also loved how although it had its magical elements they weren’t over the top or completely unbelievable and it really felt like it could possibly be true!

I loved the sudden thriller turn to the story and it really made the storyline pick up. The only slight negative for me was that I feel the start of the book was so well paced and after about half way it went so fast and felt a bit rushed towards the end.

Overall a really good light hearted, halloween read with the perfect amount of romance and thriller. Would definitely recommend

3⭐️

I really enjoyed this, definitely not the best book ever written it was a bit rushed and some plot lines weren’t fleshed out enough but overall I really enjoyed it whilst reading it and it a fun read perfect for Autumn.

4.5 ⭐️ So cozy! I cant wait for the next in the series ~ I wanted so badly to be there with Phoebe working at The Earls Study! I loved the relationship between Phoebe and her Aunt Eudora and how everything was slowly revealed to her. There was also multiple occasions Phoebe said something so based that I literally said out loud yaaaas queen !!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

lighthearted mysterious fast-paced

This was a delight from start to finish. It was super cosy and had all the vibes I was looking for. A cute, close community feel and a great main character to get behind.

Phoebe is our MC, she inherits her aunt’s tea shop and seems also to inherit more than she bargains for… and Bob is definitely worth a special mention and he easily stole the show. The cutest little ginger cat, an easy to get into light romance/ murder mystery/ witchy fantasy drama hit all the marks and I read it in no time.

I found it to be fast paced and entertaining. It also set itself up to be a great series and definitely left me wanting more! I loved all the elements in this and getting to know the people, characters and the town.

I also loved that it included some of the recipes mentioned in the story at the end and I shall definitely be endeavouring to make those soon as they honestly sounded absolutely delicious.

Thank you to the author and publisher for this book on NetGalley in return for my honest thoughts and review.
