Croatia is on page 319. All the build up felt underwhelming

Such a great read to kick off summer! I loved the history behind Alex and Poppy, how it helped flesh out their characters. It was so fun to read about their development over the course of twelve summers. I could see this being a rom-com and honestly, hearing that they’re adapting it into a movie, I’m not surprised!

I don't usually immediately review books.  I usually let them sit in my brain for a couple days.  I broke that rule with this one.  I LOVED this book.  I don't really gravitate towards romance novels, I'm more of a dark and twisty reader, but this one was so good.  The character were so relatable for me and the story was so beautifully woven together.

I love that the characters have no reason to love each other, but despite their differences love each other anyway. Emily Henry had me laughing and swooning.

If you liked When Harry Met Sally this is the book for you!

It was a fun little read. Poppy and Alex were cute.

The way the Croatia reveal was so unsatisfactory... Bro I assumed what happened decently early in. Like... that's all that happened?

It's been 15 mins since I finished reading this and I'm trying to figure out my feelings. I might feel differently later, but at the moment I just love this moment.
I haven't read many "Friends to lovers" books and I think mainly because I don't really like the "I love you a lot so we gotta stay friends" kinda dynamics. I mean sometimes it makes sense, but most of the time it doesn't.
In this book there were also some things that I didn't like that much. But the overall reading experience was good. I like their friendship in general, being each other's safe place & not taking anyone for granted. Loved it when they tried to include each other in their lives & trying to make time for each other. Those are the subtle moments I loved cuz I miss those moments with my friends. Tbh I wasn't a big fan of the "lovers" side of theirs. It became a little bit stereotypical when they fell in love. But there was one time when Alex's trauma started to act up & I felt like crying. Over all it's a good book & a fun read. (Except for the boring scenes after falling in love)
