This is a short personal memoir written by a woman who was (self?) diagnosed with high-functioning/high-IQ autism as an adult, after one of her daughters was diagnosed. It is interesting to read a memoir by someone who is not neurotypical, whose brain is fairly obviously wired up differently than average, even from the way she chooses to share her story. Her perceptions of her childhood, her relationships, and being a mother are all memorable. There is a great deal of material here for developing insight and compassion for those among us whose brains work differently. I'm glad I read it.

I think this was an excellent personal first hand look at what one might feel struggling to understand their own asperger's syndrome. I would recommend this book to anyone that feels they may be wired differently, or anyone who has a loved one that lives everyday with asperger's.

The resources in the back were good although they need to be updated to include the internet. The story itself was a bit dense.
