This was average.
It was nothing to write home about.
Cute but not memorable.

I would put the audiobook on in the background as I was doing chores and it was funny trying to keep a straight face while the narrators were reading off smut LOL. Not my fav but I did appreciate how the main love interest was not a piece of shit (a low bar, I know, but so many romance books have asshole love interests).

I am convinced that Denise Williams is trying to become one of my favorite romance authors. I mean, to be fair, with this book she graces my favorite authors of all time list, but still! The way she manages to write every trope and make it fun and exciting like I have never experienced is just so refreshing.

I received an ecopy of this book through Netgalley; however, my opinions are my own.

This was cute.

Quick thoughts:
This expected conflict seemed a little less of an eye rolling moment you’d expect because it’s so obvious. Although…there was a little eye-rolling, but subdued.

She doesn’t have a family? I’m supposed to expect little interaction between her parentals?

I’m a little tired of the perfect specimen pairs. Is everyone dating someone that could be a model or an athlete?

The pairing at the start felt rushed and flat. Their scenes left me wanting more. All curves and rock hard abs. And necks and biting—why so much biting?

Oh and his reveal had a little more layers too.

Also, the say it left off with her career??? I don’t appreciate.

First of all, I love Denise Williams and will likely read every damn thing she ever writes. IDK what it was about this one, but I wanted……… more. More of what, I don’t know. But I just felt like I was missing SOMETHING by the time I was finished reading it.

“She outsmarted me. In my experience, you marry the girl who outsmarts you, and you always have someone smart in your corner.”

✦Thoughts✦
This is the first book from Denise that I haven’t liked and I’m very bummed. I just didn’t feel the chemistry between these two. I also felt like a lot was skipped/skimmed over. I did find RJ to be super relatable, thought she also slightly infuriated me. I also couldn’t grasp how and why she was doing the wedding stuff fully. I did find them cute together at times. Overall I just couldn’t get into this one unfortunately
