I tried to go into this book with an open mind, but it was a struggle. Besides the excessive amounts of spice (to be fair I knew that going into the book so I'm not counting that toward my rating - some of it was actually good) the story was just not it for me. And the constant references to them being her uncle and cousins was just too much. Like I understand they weren't blood related and I could totally look past that, but she kept calling him uncle even after they were getting it on! and referring to them all as her family and then screwing them. I truly don't understand where the connection formed between Tiernan and Kaleb. I didn't feel the chemistry at all. And Kaleb was so messed up and emotionally stunted then he spends a few weeks in the woods practicing talking reading a book out loud then he's just better? I don't buy it. While I didn't love the book, I am glad that I finally read it to see what all the controversy was all about.

This was the first smutty book that I read and I absolutely loved it. I would definitely check TW because it is very taboo and some may not like that. I highly enjoyed this story, and Penelope's spice is always immaculate!
I actually loved this book. Tiernan did aggravate me a lot of times but I love the ending. I don’t like that she went thru all of them but I’m still happy for what all this did for Kaleb. I’m happy how everybody turned out actually.
