I don't know why Somme de-published these books but they're so, so good. Such a delightfully dark read, living for it.

Is there anything Somme Sketcher writes that I don't love? No, I love all of her books. The way this book starts had me on edge! I couldn't believe what I was reading and in true Sketcher fashion, my jaw was on the floor throughout the entire read.

Spoiler
I have yet to read a book like this one. Romy's story was heartbreaking but so gripping and her relationship with Mark and Aisling was the sweetest feeling in such a dark world (her world is very dark). Never have I loved a female killer so much as I loved Romy and her bad assery. The fact that she couldn't read had me crying and I just wanted to wrap her in a hug and protect her. But I know she doesn't need it because she can handle her own, and alas I digress as always.

My feelings for Donnacha on the other hand were not so consistent. At moment I loved him, then the next I would want to kill him and this went on and on throughout the book until the end. But this is what makes this story so perfect. His imperfections and (sometimes lack of) likability. And yes, I realize how hypocritical it is of me to say that Donnacha is unlikable sometimes because of his actions, when Romy does some gruesome shit, but she feels purehearted, whereas he doesn't. That's not to say he doesn't change and becomes likeable, but whatever.

Out of all of the East Coast Devils I loved this one the most even if I didn't expect to feel this way whilst reading it. But it's one of those stories where it stays with you because the FMC is so unique and original compared to everyone else. I know for a fact that I will reread this book soon. ugh I love Somme's books.... I need more....

Again, this book was full of red flags but I still enjoyed it. I actually really loved knowing the darker twist/underlying mystery from the beginning but watching the characters see it unravel over time.

This was a good end to the series, which I enjoyed much more than I thought I would.

I don't have a lot of things to say about this book other than Don and Romy were nuts, and I loved every minute of it.

Initially, I hesitated starting this book because I didn't think I would like Donnacha at all from seeing him in previous books. But he just became this dark hero that I couldn't help but laugh. Romy was just equally as crazy so them together was just so entertaining, I couldn't stop reading at one point.

This is what I was waiting for with this series from Sketcher. I love her other series SO SO much, that I was starting to think this series was just written by another person. But alas, I found what I was looking for.

This is for sure my favorite of the series and one I would definitely reread to get all the Ron/Romy interactions. Love.
