Imo most of the poems that were 2 pages would have been better if they'd ended at the end of their first page.
My type of poetry; and I didn't even know I had a type of poetry!

Billy Collins never disappoints! Thank you, Billy, for writing poetry for the common man (and woman), who just want to understand the meaning of a poem -- to be moved, amused, and enlightened without scratching our heads in confusion.
As a longtime fan of Billy Collins, I enjoyed revisiting many of his best poems from several of his more recent books as well as new poems. This would be a great collection to serve as an introduction to Collins' work, but as someone who has read many of the recent books, it was both familiar and repetitive.
I read this book as an e-galley from Net Galley. The book is due to be published in October 2013.

It's not the worst poetry I've ever read, but it's not very inspired. Once in a while there was a decent idea or I liked the concept, but never did I really enjoy or feel swayed by the execution.
I also listened to the audiobook, read by the author, and the lack of lyricism and rhythm carried over from the prose to his narration. That was almost painful. Did not sound like a poet ready poetry, but someone who didn't want to be there reading something he didn't want to read.

Oh, I’ve been feeling so low these last few weeks. Thankfully I thought to turn to Billy Collins poetry, read by Billy Collins. His perfectly wry voice and timing brings out everything in his poems, the beauty, the pain, and of course the humor to get us through it all. A small, true smile here and there is just what I needed. Thanks Billy!

Skipped to the section “New Poems” as I’ve read all the other poems from his other published poetry books.
This book makes me feel like I can write prose.
Not in the Maya Angelou or Pablo Neruda way.
But, in the Suzanne Vega way.
And I'm no poet.
Clearly.
