This story follows Bri and Jacob, Bri is going through a lot with her brother needing a kidney transplant and has a bad first encounter with Jacob. They finally become friends and agree to fake date to show that Jacob is over his ex.

I rarely feel this emotionally connected to a romcom, I actually cried at this one.

I preferred the romance in this book a lot more than the first and I could really relate to both the protagonist’s insecurities and struggles. As well as being emotional it was really heartwarming and funny, I’m really loving this series.

This book did have some tropes I don’t like and it got me quite frustrated at times but I still loved it.
