I love me some Holtzmann so this was pretty enjoyable. There were a few panels with no background art which seemed weird. And it didn't love that . But on the whole I'm glad there's more of the Answer the Call universe.

Will reiterate how much this comic does with the characters and the situations MUCH more than what the movie did for them.
Here? Chris Hemsworth's EXTREME himbo energy is actually funny instead of distractingly bad.
Here? The neurotic tics of Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy, when paired with some pretty hilarious lines, are actually funny.
Here? The evil entity's plot is actually menacing and not fueled by pettiness, giving our heroines some actual fear-inducing nightmares! GOOD STUFF!
IDW really knows how to take a beloved property and running well with it do they?

A fun filled romp through the Ghostbusters‰ЫЄs nightmares. (Ghostbusters‰ЫЄs sounds really weird.) This Comic was really good - a solid 4 Stars. To be honest, i thought it was going to blow me away, especially with Kelly Thompson writing it. But it never hit the OMG! This is amazing! And we stayed at This is really good! Recommended.
Plus, it was fun to listen to both of the Ghostbusters soundtracks (2016 and 1984) while I read this.

I don't know if Kelly Thompson and Corin Howell will do a second Ghostbusters series. I suspect that Erik Burnham and Dan Schoening will because they seem to enjoy doing these crossovers and the readers seem to enjoy them (I certainly do) based on Facebook discussions. Thompson is remarkably busy but I hope there is time in the future to revisit her version of the Ghostbusters.

Issue #1 is pretty action heavy and character light, but I think it works well. I appreciate things starting off with a bang, and hopefully the characters/relationships will open up as the story moves forward. (Kelly Thompson's dialogue is, as always, clever and super fun.)
