I've been on an Earthsea kick since the end of last year and into this one, and I intend to finish the series. I knew about the controversy surrounding Tehanu, but I dismissed it honestly since I really wanted to read it anyway! This felt extremely fitting as a sequel to Atuan, and to give Tenar closure in her story as well. It also confused me as to why this book was controversial, but then again... written and published in the 90s, and focused primarily on the women and marginalized individuals in the fictional world, making Ged kind of a side character tbh. I quite enjoyed this narrative, and I think reflecting how one feels in their reality and the real world into their fictional fantasy ones is extremely important (hell, i do it all the time in d&d).
anyway those are my thoughts! spoiler free and all that!

I loved this installment of the Earthsea series. I liked how Tensar and Ged's stories came together. There were some parts in the story I wish the author had spent more time on, but overall loved the story.
