Listened to this as an audiobook, and I almost DNF’d several times. Please, check your Content Warnings carefully. I found the female main character unlikeable and not relatable, the male main character has no personality traits except being a father and loving sex, the main romance subplot feels so forced. The general set up of the plot was good, but the ending just wasn’t satisfying (especially after all the hype I’d heard about this book). The sex scenes are so cringy it made me hate the characters more. And nothing in this book would’ve happened if the people in it could just fucking communicate!!

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but

the autobio manuscript felt so fake and forced, like there’s no way anyone actually thinks like that, so instead of hating her, it just thought the whole thing was what she was writing for her next book in the series. So when we find out what it actually is, I wasn’t really surprised, and the ending just felt like a cop out.

This fucking book PLOWED straight through my heart. My emotions were all over the place. Bravo. This book has earned its way onto My Favorite Books of All Time list. I will be emotionally decimated for weeks.
