okay wait what?

that huge plottwist at the end really got me good.

so this is the second book i’ve read by colleen hoover, and i have to give it to her, she does write books you can read easily through one sitting.
even though i was immensely disappointed with it ends with us, i liked this book more than i should’ve.
i am so disturbed and i don’t think i’ll be able to sleep tonight.

once i got past the first chapter i got so hooked i couldn’t put it down anymore

This was amazing! Verity seemed outside of Hoover’s normal genre and writing style, but I loved this! It was dark, thrilling, and looked at deception as a major theme. Lowen’s skepticism was a really nice element and I thought she was a great character. I was conflicted about Jeremy’s actions, and I didn’t necessarily like him. Never the less, this book was outstanding, and it had a very unique feel to it. 10/10!

I'm starting by saying that this book was mind blowing. The writing at times seemed a bit superficial but, it gave it that touch of truth that places it first on my 2022 favorites list for now.

Let's say that all Colleen Hoover's books are fantastic, even if this is very different from her usual writing, I must say that I immersed myself as never before, inside the story and the protagonist, I felt her, with the shivers and the anxious to live with Verity.

The creaks, the twenties, the voices, the darkness was so real that I seemed to see it. The twist within the story I must say that I was due a little, but the end made me change my mind.

 ️

"No matter which way I look at it, it's clear that Verity was a master at manipulating the truth. The only question that remains is: Which truth was she manipulating? "

The last sentence of the book ... I was left lying there in bed, looking for something to do, I couldn't even breathe. The idea that it had ended like this, made me lose my mind.
I think it was one of the most beautiful and spectacular ends ever in my opinion, the open ending, the anxiety that takes you from the beginning that doesn't go away at the end but becomes more and more powerful.
