I feel like the only interesting part of the story is Verity, and it's not in a "she's so bad she's good". It's just that all the other characters, Lowen and Jeremy, have little to no personality. The plot itself relies heavily on shock-value, and isn't great for re-readability
I also feel like the ending is a cop-out, and is pretty disappointing. 

Overall, if you're new to horror, it's a great introduction. Otherwise, you're fine to not read it.

Pretty good book. The ending left me speechless, I did not expect that; it really made me have to rethink what happened in the book in order to set it down. I wish there was a bit more depth to the book, but the writing and flow of this novel was gorgeous.
