Where do I even start with this book, holy shit. It was an emotional rollercoaster. I was eager to read through the end, to the big mystery to be solved. At the beginning I thought that the protagonist was insufferable, at one point I even wanted to stop reading because of that.
I think I saw through the gaslighting of her dad and was just waiting for Bel to finally catch up already!
At the end EVERYTHING made sense and it left me with immense satisfaction.
This book is even better than AGGGTM and AGGGTM is already very good.
Holly Jackson, you've done it again! Cheers to the modern Agatha Christie!

I was intrigued right from the start with Rachel Price missing case and it gets a lot more interesting with her sudden reappearance which will led the readers take a closer look to the Price family - they're not as perfect as we thought.

I really enjoy my time following Bel and Ash as they investigate Rachel’s reappearance. They made a pretty good team and their bantering gave a humor aspect against the gloomy and dark mystery plot.

Lots of suspicious characters and several clues thrown throughout the story had me glued to my kindle and my brain kept making theories.
I guessed some of it right, but even then the big reveal still had ONE TWIST that caught me by surprise!

However, there are a few things that made me didn't fully enjoy this book like the slow pacing and some information/act that was repeatedly mentioned. Nevertheless, I still found this book enjoyable to read.

Overall, this was a really good mystery thriller with a dash of romance.
Easy to read writing style and clever unexpected twist had me hooked into the mystery of Rachel Price’s reappearance.
I would recommend it for those who enjoy YA mystery thriller!

Thank you to TBR and Beyond Tour, Netgalley, author and publisher for giving me an e-ARC of the book and for having me on this book tour. I’m leaving this review voluntarily!

I always ADORE a Holly Jackson book and this was so exception! Her writing is just perfect YA thriller/mystery writing. It is suspenseful whole not being too scary and no one writes a MC like she does. Her MCs always have so much to them and I love getting to be in their heads. I think anyone who doesn’t enjoy her books is not reading it like it is a YA book. YA books are always going to feel younger and the writing is going to be simpler than an adult thriller/mystery book. This storyline was enthralling to read and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I wish we had gotten a little bit more about Ash and the film crew in total.
I felt like his relationship with Bel was not as plotted out as I would have liked it. It would have just been nice to see more of it because I really enjoyed them together.
The thing that made this book 4 stars instead of 5 was that I didn’t love the ending because it just didn’t feel realistic at all and I felt like it ended with a lot of plot holes. I still had the best time reading this book and finished it in 2 sittings, but I wish I had gotten a little more from the end. I would highly recommend reading this if you like Holly Jackson books and as always, I recommend reading A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder if you are looking to get into Holly Jackson books because I think it’s a great set up to her writing style.

This book is pretty slow. It takes a bit to really get going but that didn't really bother me, but be warned this isn't action after action after action, it's a slow buildup to a conclusion I found really satisfying.
As always Holly Jackson delivered a jaw dropping reveal which I didn't see coming (If we ignore As Good As Dead).

If I had a nickel every time a Holly Jackson protagonist covered up a murder I'd have two nickel s which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice

*Thank you to NetGalley & the publisher for this ARC to review*

If you have ever wanted a book that gives you the same vibes & keeps you on the edge of your seat coming up w/ theories in the same way that a TikTok video w/ multiple updates over several days does then this is the book for you.

I seriously could not stop trying to figure out what was going on, who to trust or what to make of each of the characters throughout the story. It was incredibly fast paced, full of twists and turns and made me remember why I fell in love with Holly Jackson’s books in the first place.

This is an absolute must read for any fans of AGGGTM and the YA mystery/thriller genre. Absolutely incredible book!
